Established in 2002, Horton Landscaping was formed to work with the local parish council to help maintain the village of Horton in Ribblesdale. The company soon found that they were being asked to work for other villages in the area and soon the business started to grow.

The first major investment of the company was the first gritter, used to provide winter maintenance cover for the local quarries. This has now led to Horton Landscaping Ltd having a fleet of salt spreaders that are used all over North Yorkshire.

Horton Landscaping Ltd then started to work for local schools and hotels. This saw a change in direction for the company; with more grounds maintenance contracts we had to start employing more staff and increase the machinery and vehicles. We currently run three grounds maintenance teams, all complete with ride on mower and fully trained and insured staff. All staff at Horton Landscaping Ltd are CRB checked.

The Company currently employs 2 office staff and 8 permanent grounds maintenance staff, with 2 seasonal operatives the company can call upon. With further developments in the pipeline, the company is rapidly establishing itself as a leader in its field.

The company has just been elected as a member of The Association of Professional Landscapers and The Horticultural Trades Association. The criteria of joining these is to provide a promise that as a registered member we have the necessary skills and experience to meet your needs and the work is fully guaranteed

We are SAFE contractor and Guild of Master Craftsmen approved. To become members of these we have had to prove we are safe and trained in the tasks we carry out.
